TAKARA BELMONT Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; Representative Director, Chairman and President: Hidetaka Yoshikawa) is holding a work experience event for children called ``Aim for the Future,'' which will help children learn about the appeal of the hairdressing industry and foster future leaders. "Hairdresser! Haircut & Original Shampoo Making Experience" will be held for the first time at TAKARA BELMONT Hiroshima showroom in Nishi Ward, Hiroshima City.
Our company was founded in 1921 and celebrated its 100th anniversary two years ago. In the early Showa era, we started manufacturing barber chairs and have grown together with the barber and beauty industries. However, in Japan, a super-aging society, the number of barbers in particular is decreasing due to the declining birthrate, lack of successors, and diverse career choices. In addition, in recent years, children have been focusing on online learning due to the coronavirus pandemic, and have been losing ``real experiences''. In order to celebrate our 100th anniversary, we have decided to hold an event in Hiroshima that has been well-received and has been held in Osaka, Tokyo, and other locations. At the last Osaka venue, about 30 parent-child groups participated. The event was a great success, with one child exclaiming, ``It was fun to try my first haircut!''
