"Women's Healthcare" project, full-scale start on October 5, the day of its founding

Since 1979, our Medical Division has expanded our business in the field of obstetrics and gynecology by manufacturing and selling medical equipment such as electric examination tables, as well as developing products such as chair-shaped internal examination tables and delivery tables. This project started in 2019 from the strong desire of a female employee of the division who had just returned from childcare leave to support the birth scene in Japan, based on her own experience. ``In addition to selling pelvic examination tables and delivery tables, we would like to develop a business that supports beauty and health by solving problems that are closely related to the concerns of women before and after childbirth.'' The ``Women's Health'' team was launched. This fall, which marks the 100th anniversary of our company's founding, we will begin the project in earnest. Additionally, this project will involve collaboration with a wide range of industries, including midwives and other medical professionals, as well as designers and creators from outside the company. At the start, we will begin with the following two initiatives to support each woman before and after childbirth.
Initiatives in the Women's Healthcare Project
① Deepen the value provided in the obstetrics and gynecology business field
In addition to providing medical equipment that will help pregnant women give birth comfortably and making suggestions for creating spaces, we plan to carry out initiatives to help medical professionals more safely reduce the medical burden.
② Expand sales channels for hair care and body care brand “mi” for mothers before and after giving birth
The product, which was launched in April of this year, is mainly sold at obstetrics and gynecology clinics, but by increasing the number of clinics where it is sold, we hope to be able to help moms before and after giving birth with their physical concerns. We aim to create a friendly environment.
Furthermore, in the future, we plan to develop initiatives in collaboration with local governments and other companies in the same industry.

The project will be fully launched on October 5th, the 100th anniversary of TAKARA BELMONT 's founding, with the aim of not only manufacturing products but also supporting obstetrics and gynecology clinics at the forefront of Japan's declining birthrate and creating a comfortable childbirth environment for women.
